'a single leaf' presents Finding Alice
directed by Jessica Swale
'a single leaf' will tour Finding Alice
during the following periods: Spring/Summer 2010
and 2011. To enquire about dates outside of the periods outlined
above, please don't hesitate to telephone, Skype or email.
Finding Alice
As the lines between the worlds blur, Miriam gets lost in Wonderland.
Mr. W. Rabbit is looking for Alice - and he's late! The sports-mad
MAD Hatter is looking for his cricket ball and the Queen of Hearts
is threatening to chop off everyone's head as usual...
If you find Alice, one of the missing pages or
the Mad Hatter's hat or you fancy a game of tennis or an adventure
then come and join us.
This is an interactive adventure for children (and big kids too)
involving characters we all know and love but in an adventure
of their own. With singing, dancing and a tea party for everyone
you will be enchanted from start to finish. The adventure begins
as soon as you arrive in the theatre with the White Rabbit hurrying
you to your seats to stop you being late (like him). This is a
fun, lively show for children - whose needs have been considered
every step of the way.
Tea anyone?
Performed with huge zest and great humour - ‘a
single leaf’ deserves high praise for a splendid debut show
which rollicks along, utterly delighting the audience.
Quick-paced movement, quality costumes and crazy songs boost the
appeal, and Jessica Swale’s direction never fails. This
is a must family show!
The Stage
A simple story, then, but told with real skill
by an extremely child-friendly cast – a little girl sitting
just along from me looked utterly transfixed from beginning to
end.
